Introduction

Grain flow and magnetic polishing technology is through the fluid or semi-fluid medium as an abrasive on the workpiece polishing technology. One of the abrasive flow polishing medium for a semi-fluid, its main component is alumina, silicon carbide, boron carbide, etc., the appearance of a flexible medium similar to the black playdough. When the abrasive grain flow of the abrasive material under pressure through the pipeline to flow, so as to achieve the effect of polishing the inner wall of the pipe. The medium of magnetic polishing is a mixture of magnetic needle, water and polishing solution. Under the action of rotating and translating magnetic field at the bottom, the magnetic needle follows the movement of the magnetic field and thus collides and rubs the inner and outer surfaces of the workpieces in a kind of technology.

Grain flow and magnetic polishing technology has the following characteristics:

        1. Polishing of the inner hole of the part

Abrasive flow and magnetic polishing both can polish the inner wall of the part, both are through the fluid or semi-fluid medium on the inner wall of the friction to achieve the polishing effect.

        2. Microscopic holes and elongated tubes polishing

The abrasive of abrasive flow can smoothly pass through the small holes and elongated tubes, so the abrasive flow polishing can deal with the parts with this kind of characteristics.

        3. Polishing both the inner and outer surfaces of the workpiece

For parts with large internal holes or low slenderness ratio, magnetic polishing technology can simultaneously process the internal and external surfaces of such parts.

        4. Strong product adaptability

Abrasive flow polishing can be realized by replacing only the jigs and fixtures for different products. Magnetic polishing can deal with all kinds of non-magnetic small and medium-sized parts, which only need to be put into the polishing pool evenly and do not need jigs and fixtures.

Abrasive flow is suitable for polishing the bore of microporous parts, irregular bore parts, porous parts, and elongated tube parts;

Magnetic polishing is suitable for polishing the internal and external surfaces of copper or stainless steel joints and fittings, and all kinds of non-magnetic small and medium-sized parts.
